Lifeline Bible Church

Lifeline Bible Church met together for fellowship for the first time on the first Sunday of December 2005 after Rev. Idowu Adegboyega Adejobi , the founding and presiding pastor came out of New Covenant Church, Lagos , which he pioneered and pastored since 1989 with several branches in Lagos and one in Baltimore MD , U.S.A. There were about 190 people at that first meeting but the church has now grown to a membership of several hundreds.

Presently, we are in Nigeria and the United Kingdom with plans to branch out to other nations of the world.

The profile of the six members of our Board of Trustees in Nigeria can be viewed on our Profile page. The message of the Lord to us is clear, that Jesus is our Lifeline and there is no need for any human lifeline or intermediary between Him and us anymore. The Lord alone is our all in all and is sufficient for us. The Biblical background to this was when God asked Moses to make and hang a brazen serpent on a pole so that, any Israelite beaten by snake would be healed by looking at it (Numbers 21: 5-10). The Lord Jesus Christ confirmed this as prophetic when he said, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3: 14-15).

Our motto – “Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith” is taken from Hebrews 12: 2. We believe the Lord is challenging us to look unto Him and put all our trust in Him and not in the arm of flesh. Men may fail but God never fails. Our salvation, healing, deliverance, help and all forms of blessing come from God. So long as we look to God and trust Him, He will uphold us and direct the work. We have Worship Services on Sundays, Bible Study meetings on Tuesdays and Prayer meetings on Thursdays. We also hold a monthly Prayer Vigil every first Friday of the month.

The Lord has been faithful in blessing us each time we gather together in His presence. Our workers' training and meeting hold every last Saturday of the quarter.

We believe that God's work done in God's way shall never lack His supplies. So, we trust the Lord for financial breakthrough as we raise pledges through members and financial partners for various church projects. Our immediate urgent need now is to purchase large expanse of land in Lagos , Nigeria and construct a permanent place of worship. Other church needs and projects are highlighted periodically in ‘Lifelink' - the official weekly news bulletin of the church.

Please, feel free to join us at any of our meetings/programmes to share fellowship with us. You can also be a financial partner to support God's work in our hands. You can contact us on phone or by e-mails. God bless.
